Salary: £65,000 - 65,000 per year Requirements: We are looking for a hands-on technical leader with strong experience managing technical teams. We need proven experience in enterprise networking across multi-site environments. Deep expertise in Cisco Meraki is essential. We need experience with Azure networking and hybrid cloud environments. Strong knowledge of network security, SD-WAN, VPNs, and routing and switching is required. Exposure to automation tools and scripting such as PowerShell or Python is highly desirable. We need someone able to deliver complex infrastructure projects end to end. Certifications such as CCNP, Meraki, or Azure Network Engineer are a bonus, although practical experience matters most. Responsibilities: We manage and develop a high-performing Network Operations team. We create a culture of continuous improvement, ownership, and collaboration. We take full responsibility for a large-scale Cisco Meraki environment including MX, MS, and MR. We drive performance, resilience, and scalability across all services. We lead network upgrades, deployments, and lifecycle management. We shape and support hybrid cloud networking in Azure. We oversee WAN, LAN, VPN, SD-WAN, and wireless environments. We ensure seamless connectivity across a geographically distributed estate. We introduce and expand automation using PowerShell and Python. We reduce manual effort and improve operational consistency. We move towards infrastructure-as-code principles. We work closely with security teams on Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 27001. We oversee firewalls, IDS/IPS, segmentation, and secure access controls. We support audits, risk management, and incident response. We own technical delivery of network projects including site deployments, connectivity transformations, telephony rollouts, and platform enhancements.
