Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary all age specialist Community Eating Disorder team. The successful applicant will support this innovative multidisciplinary team in delivering the latest evidence based dietetic support to clients, carers and families of adults. The team is committed to delivering the highest quality service to enable service users live the life they want. This opportunity gives the successful candidate the chance to influence the success of this innovative Eating Disorder service, AAEDS is therefore expanding its multi-disciplinary team and highlights a need for preceptorship roles to train in-house. This role for Trainee CBT Therapist within AAEDS to include participating and attending NHSE funded 2 year post graduate diploma in CBT-ED; under supervision whilst undertaking a programme of training for this role. The training will equip the post-holder to provide interventions for adults with Eating Disorders. The post-holder will attend all taught and self-study days required by UCL, as specified within the CBT-ED curriculum and work in the AAEDS for the remaining days of the week using their newly developed skills. You will be expected to attend UCL's training for 2 days in the first month then once per week Tuesdays in the first year then Mondays on the second year.


Role responsibilities

* Participate in and attend NHSE funded 2 year post graduate diploma in CBT-ED under supervision while undertaking training for this role.
* Provide interventions for adults with Eating Disorders as part of the training and in the AAEDS setting.
* Attend all taught and self-study days required by UCL, as specified within the CBT-ED curriculum, and apply newly developed skills in the AAEDS context.
* Comply with the training schedule: two UCL training days in the first month, once per week on Tuesdays in the first year, and Mondays in the second year.

Induction and probation

Starting with Us: NELFT places great importance on welcoming new starters. All new starters join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks, including mandatory training, systems training and equipment allocation. The induction includes opportunities to meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing, and key processes. The induction is held at the head office in Rainham, Essex.

Probationary Period: This post will be subject to a probationary period.
