Steer Automotive Group | Full-Time | Customer Service Jobs Doncaster
Make a real difference from the very first call.
At Steer Automotive Group, we’re not just vehicle repair specialists — we’re driving the future of automotive care. We’re looking for a Customer Service Call Handler to join our First Notification of Loss (FNOL) Team in Doncaster.
If you’re a confident communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and genuinely cares about helping people, this is your opportunity to build a meaningful career in customer service.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for customers following an accident, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering reassurance and support during a stressful time.
You’ll guide customers through the early stages of their claim, ensuring every interaction is handled with empathy, clarity, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
14. Handle inbound calls from customers reporting vehicle accidents or damage
15. Accurately log and manage claim details using internal systems
16. Keep customers informed throughout their claims journey
17. Liaise with insurance providers, repair teams, and internal departments
18. Manage your workload effectively while meeting team KPIs and service targets
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need automotive experience — we value customer service skills and attitude above all.
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
19. Communicate clearly and confidently via phone and email
20. Stay calm and professional in a high-pressure environment
21. Demonstrate empathy, initiative, and problem-solving skills
22. Have strong attention to detail and organisational skills
23. Bring previous experience in customer service roles (call centre, retail, hospitality, or insurance preferred)
Why Join Steer Automotive Group?
24. Competitive salary + performance incentives
25. Career progression opportunities within a growing company
26. Full training and ongoing support
27. Positive, team-focused working environment
28. The chance to make a real impact every day
At Steer, we put people first — both our customers and our colleagues. Every call you take helps someone move forward after an accident, making this role truly rewarding.
