The Global Project Engineering Team
Our Global Project Engineering team is a dynamic group of skilled Engineers and Project Managers dedicated to designing, planning, purchasing, and configuring production equipment and systems in Warner Bros. Discovery’s live Sports and News broadcast and production facilities. We support content across WBD’s networks, including TNT Sports, Eurosport, and CNN.
Your New Role
Join our collaborative Global Project Engineering team, where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of production technology at WBD. In this position, you will:
* Guide and support technical system design.
* Contribute to major facility upgrades.
* Help solve complex technical challenges that influence high-quality content creation.
Your Role Accountabilities
As an expert in this role, you will:
* Design and plan new and upgraded production systems, including facility changes, equipment purchases, budget tracking, and scheduling.
* Build, test, and implement cloud-based systems and workflows for production systems.
* Collaborate with operations teams to gather requirements and conceptualize designs.
* Work with other Engineering groups to install and commission new systems.
* Evaluate new technology and recommend equipment and software selections.
* Coordinate traditional media projects, including scope development and technical documentation.
* Support capital budget planning and tracking.
* Create and maintain technical documentation, including CAD drawings and user manuals.
* Track incoming equipment against purchase orders.
* Interface with vendors, clients, and internal management teams.
* Provide status updates, reports, and presentations to executive teams.
Qualifications & Experience
We’re looking for candidates with:
* Extensive experience in live broadcast, production, or digital engineering environments.
* Comprehensive project design experience with tools like AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and non-linear editing applications.
* Knowledge of live PCR and studio equipment.
* Understanding of core production equipment and live production technologies.
* Advanced operational skills in video production equipment and technology.
* Experience designing wiring workflows for production facilities.
* Familiarity with ticketing systems and digital video standards.
* Understanding of cloud-based platforms such as AWS and Azure.
* Ability to create and interpret system schematic drawings.
* Comfort with lifting heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs.) and willingness to travel within the EMEA region.
Working Conditions
This role is offered as a Hybrid Work Model, combining remote and in-office work, in line with our company policy and your Line Manager’s agreement. Please note that this arrangement may change based on business needs.
