A global real estate investment platform managing a substantial UK and Western European portfolio is building out its in-house construction capability.
This newly created role sits within a lean legal team as the dedicated construction advisor across refurbishment, redevelopment and capex-heavy projects. You will work directly with asset management and investment stakeholders on procurement strategy, contract structuring and risk allocation across an active development pipeline.
The Work
* Shaping and refining JCT-based building contracts and consultant appointments
* Advising on development structuring before capital is committed
* Instructing and overseeing leading external construction firms
* Supporting multiple concurrent projects across a diversified asset base
* Translating technical construction issues into clear commercial guidance
The Ideal Profile
* 1-4 years' PQE
* Trained at a top-tier firm with exposure to high-value development work
* Strong grounding in JCT and the UK built environment
* Technically confident and comfortable operating in a judgement-led role
* Able to engage credibly with senior commercial stakeholders
