Purpose of role
In this unique role, you will support young people who struggle to thrive in the academic environment of school, helping them succeed and learn new practical and personal skills. This role offers a valuable opportunity to develop young people and foster a positive outlook and attitude towards their future. To succeed, you will be confident and capable at engaging young people, who often have a history of being disengaged and disruptive, alongside strong practical skills.
Skillway is unique in its style of teaching, which focuses on hands-on learning in a low-pressure, supportive environment: our tutors treat our students as young adults and aim to develop a portfolio of work that demonstrates new skills and experiences, alongside their personal character; fostering a sense of achievement and success.
