Site Engineering Manager — Falkirk, UK

We’re investing in our Engineering community with opportunities for personal development and career progression. We’re recruiting for a Site Engineering Manager to lead engineering at our Falkirk site.

What’s the mission?

You will deliver the Engineering Strategy across the Falkirk site through engaging leadership and strong people management. You will lead the Capital & Maintenance Programme to deliver project benefits and improve asset reliability safely, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will oversee operational activities, compliance, Health and Safety requirements, continuous improvement, and people development. You’ll build collaborative relationships with internal teams and stakeholders at Marshalls to maximise leverage and integration. You will engage our colleagues with a people-focused leadership approach, coaching and developing the team to foster a performance-driven culture focused on ownership, accountability, transparency and development.


Responsibilities

* Lead the Site Engineering team to deliver production plans, service levels & engineering strategy within quality, safety, and cost parameters
* Responsible for Major Incident Reports (MIR) to determine root causes of significant/complex equipment failures and implement robust countermeasures
* Implement & deliver the engineering strategy to develop reliability and improve quality, safety, and asset utilisation via all direct & indirect reports
* Implement best practice maintenance principles for SHE/capital programme, care, and maintenance
* Manage Engineering systems, structures, resources and processes, and ways of working
* Manage the engineering planning process that proactively manages and maintains manufacturing assets at the site
* Responsible for the delivery of engineering KPI’s that complement manufacturing performance and objectives
* Recognise best practices from within and outside the business and work with stakeholders to implement these across the business while supporting continuous improvement opportunities
* Coach and develop direct reports. Monitor and improve performance through appraisal and personal development plans
