We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Cardiff to assist with the appointment of a ARC Support Worker to work in a residential care setting.

We have both regular shifts (37 hours per week) and bank shifts available. Please note that we don't offer sponsorship, and the worker should be able to work full time without restrictions. We would need 5 years work references checked out before you start the shifts.

Rate of Pay: £14.09 - £18.42per hour

Summary:

The Adolescent Resource Centre (ARC) and Edge of Care Service is an innovative partnership between Cardiff Council and Vale of Glamorgan Council, supporting young people aged 1117 who are at risk of entering care.

As an ARC Support Worker, you will play a key role in delivering flexible, responsive and outcome-focused support packages, including respite, outreach, intervention, and family support. Working directly with adolescents and their families at times of need, you will help them develop problem-solving skills, build resilience, and achieve sustainable positive change.

Responsibilities:

* Contribute to tailored care packages including respite, outreach, family support and therapeutic interventions.
* Support young people and families to build resilience, problem-solving capacity, and confidence in managing difficulties.
* Promote safeguarding and ensure all practice complies with statutory requirements and organisational policies.
* Deliver structured, evidence-based interventions to young people and families to reduce risks, strengthen relationships, and prevent family breakdown.

Qualifications:

* Relevant vocational qualification (e.g., NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care, Support Work, or equivalent).

Essentials:

* Experience of working with adolescents and families, particularly those presenting with challenging behaviour.
* Understanding of child development, safeguarding, and the issues impacting young people and families at risk of care.
* Full driving licence and access to a car.

Please note:

* You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
* You should have right to work in U.K
* This role requires an Enhanced DBS
