My client is looking to recruit a Senior Planning Officer to join their team
They are looking for motivated individuals to work across development management, site monitoring, enforcement, and local plan preparation.
Development Management and Enforcement experience in a Minerals and Waste planning setting is preferred
You will need to visit sites and attend meetings. Preferable to have at least one day per week in office attendance, but will be flexible on this depending on candidate availability
Full time 37 hour per week. Average 7.4 hours per day, generally between 08:00 – 18:00.
Key Responsibilities:
* Respond to planning consultations.
* Monitor minerals and waste sites.
* Manage planning databases and mapping systems.
* Handle planning applications, enforcement matters, and legal agreements.
* Prepare reports, provide advice, and represent the Council at external meetings.
* Support the preparation and review of the Minerals and Waste Local Plan.
* Assist with planning appeals and court proceedings.
* Identify and implement service improvements.
