Our client, a well-established accountancy practice based in Waterlooville, is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant / Senior to join their close-knit team. This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone with a solid practice background who enjoys working directly with clients and tackling a broad range of accounting challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparation of company statutory accounts - ranging from straightforward to more complex cases
* Drafting corporation tax returns
* Occasional preparation of directors' personal tax returns (not essential)
* Investigating and resolving incomplete accounts
* Working with clients to clarify and correct poor bookkeeping
* Supporting with ad-hoc accounting exercises as they arise
About You:
* Previous experience in an accountancy practice is essential
* Comfortable handling a mix of accounts, including more complex and incomplete records
* Confident communicating directly with clients
* Able to work independently and as part of a small team
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
