Senior Network Designer – DV Cleared
Experis UK is seeking a Senior Network Designer (Network Design Engineer) with a valid DV clearance to join a secure Defence and National Security programme. The role involves designing, implementing, and supporting secure enterprise networks across mission‑critical environments.
About the Role
As a Network Design Engineer, you will design, configure, and deploy network solutions that meet business and technical requirements across secure environments. You will produce design documentation, support governance reviews, and provide hands‑on implementation and troubleshooting support. You will support project milestones, ensure effective handover to service, resolve complex network issues across multiple vendors and domains, work with stakeholders, assist with performance testing, and contribute to automation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, configure, and deploy secure network solutions.
* Produce design documentation and support governance reviews.
* Provide hands‑on implementation and troubleshooting support.
* Support project milestones and handover to service.
* Resolve complex network issues across multiple vendors and domains.
* Collaborate with stakeholders, assist with performance testing, and contribute to automation.
What We’re Looking For
* Strong experience with Cisco and Juniper technologies, with certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or JNCIS‑ENT.
* Knowledge of routing protocols, VRFs, VPNs, IDS, IPS, and network security controls.
* Experience with F5, Cisco Secure Firewall, and Gigamon.
* Strong design and troubleshooting background across enterprise and multi‑vendor networks.
* Understanding of TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, VLANs, and data centre networking.
* Experience using tools such as Visio, SolarWinds, and Nagios.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to document solutions and collaborate with stakeholders.
