Role Overview
* Job Title: Business Development Manager
* Reports to: SMB Sales Manager
* Hours of Work: 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday (between 8am to 6pm)
We are seeking a high-energy, driven Business Development Manager to accelerate new logo growth across our SMB segment within our Communications portfolio (UC, connectivity, mobile, and related services). This is a pure new business hunter role where you will build your own pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, and targeted campaigns.
Key Tasks & Accountabilities
New Business Acquisition
* Identify and secure new logos in the SMB market using outbound prospecting, networking, and structured outreach.
* Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified UC, connectivity, and mobile opportunities.
* Develop targeted account and territory plans to drive sustained growth.
Sales Strategy & Execution
* Lead end-to-end sales cycles, including discovery, solution alignment, proposals, and contract negotiation.
* Confidently position the portfolio: hosted telephony, connectivity, mobile, AV, and IT managed services.
* Articulate commercial models and return-on-investment clearly to customers.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Build trusted relationships with decision-makers (Owners, MDs, IT contacts).
* Use a consultative approach to understand business challenges and align proposals effectively.
Performance & Reporting
* Achieve or exceed monthly new-business revenue targets.
* Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene, ensuring accurate forecasting and activity records.
What Will You Bring?
Experience & Skills
* 2+ years' proven success in B2B new business sales, ideally in telecoms, UC, or connectivity.
* Demonstrable experience selling into SMB organizations and navigating short-to-mid length buying cycles.
* Strong track record of hitting sales targets and closing new logo deals.
* Solid understanding of UC solutions, hosted telephony, and mobile tariffs (training provided).
