Description
Location: Batley, West Yorkshire
Type: Permanent, part-time (16 hpw), rota working
Salary: £12.60 per hour (£24,638 per annum [pro rata]) plus benefits including Health Cash Plan
About the Role
Join us as a Supported Living Worker and be part of a team that truly cares. You will support customers with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs to develop skills for independent living in our 'Good' rated CQC service. Make a meaningful difference daily by helping customers achieve their aspirations.
Responsibilities
* Assist customers with daily living tasks to promote independence, following their support plans.
* Support with activities such as meal preparation, shopping, budgeting, maintaining tenancies, and moving to independent accommodation.
* Help customers attend appointments, engage in hobbies, interests, or employment/education.
* Support with personal care and medication as outlined in support plans.
* Conduct risk assessments, support planning, goal setting, and reviews.
* Build rapport through informal chats and catch-ups, fostering a supportive environment.
Candidate Requirements
* Level 2 Health and Social Care Certificate or willingness to obtain it.
* Passion for supporting others to live fulfilling lives.
* Experience caring for others, whether professionally or personally.
* Ability to work independently, remain calm under pressure, and demonstrate resilience.
* Flexible, attentive, and able to listen to individual needs.
