Your new role
This role involves managing the company's management accounts, with responsibilities including:
1. Bank Reconciliation
2. Cash allocation
3. Short Term Cash Flow forecast
4. Supplier Payments
5. VAT and UK Tax returns, including reconciliations
6. Liaising with HMRC
7. Monthly Work in Progress calculation and reporting
8. Prepayments and Accruals
9. Managing Balance Sheets and ensuring monthly reconciliations
10. Assisting with monthly consolidated management accounts
11. Contributing to the finance team to achieve business goals and develop processes
12. Driving continuous improvement in finance controls and processes
13. Implementing best-in-class processes and controls
14. Identifying efficiencies and improving Purchase and Sales Ledger procedures
15. Acting as point of contact for auditors and statutory accounts
16. Ensuring HMRC and Companies House compliance
17. Supporting future M&A activities
18. Integrating newly acquired businesses
19. Participating in the rollout of the new ERP system (NetSuite)
20. Collaborating with stakeholders on ad hoc tasks
21. Providing payroll backup and processing payroll journals
What you'll need to succeed
Candidates should have prior experience in a similar role and have begun or completed studies in management accounts. The ability to meet tight deadlines and communicate effectively at all levels is essential.
