Our Client are a leading Utilities business with a dedicated team delivering safe, reliable and economic multi-utility supplies and services (electricity, clean water, waste water collection and treatment, natural gas transmission and telecoms). They are now seeking an experienced Projects Engineer (Pressure Management) to join their team.
In this role the Projects Engineer will report to the Technical & Asset Management Engineer, managing the pressure management projects where you will produce, maintain and drive the Pressure Management strategy.
The ideal candidate for the role of Projects Engineer will have:
* A relevant engineering degree or equivalent
* Holds Institute of leadership Management (ILM) level 5 or equivalent
* 5 years' relevant experience
* A highly developed understanding of all aspects of distributions network and its complexities; including an understanding of water hydraulics in pipelines
* Able to produce risk assessments and method statements
* Awareness of, and compliance with, relevant health, safety and environmental legislation and Industry standards
* Understanding of hydraulics / fluid dynamics
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
* Proven ability to build and manage teams
* Good organisational skills with a 'right first time' perspective
* Hold a full driving licence
Desirable:
* Member of the institute of water and working towards becoming an Incorporated Engineer
* Able to oversee pressure management hydraulic model projects and schemes
