A multi-discipline architectural, engineering, and environmental consulting firm is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor for their growing office in Windsor, Connecticut
Responsibilities:
* Perform in-office and field tasks related to land surveying projects
* Receive instructions on specific assignments, objectives and complex issues
* Calculate/record field data accurately
* Review job specifications and plan fieldwork methods/costs
* Review/download field data
* Prepare field notes and draw sketches for existing site conditions
* Discuss projects with supervisor daily after preparing detailed daily job reports
* Maintain/troubleshoot complex instrumentation
* Apply standard scientific/engineering techniques, procedures and criteria as needed to adapt standard methods/techniques in the field and office
Requirements:
* Professional Land Survey License
* 5+ years of experience
* Substantial survey experience and strong knowledge of survey calculations, techniques and procedures
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D for drafting and editing surveys
* Understanding/experience for operating surveying equipment (Total Stations, Data Collectors, GPS RTK & Static Observations)
* Valid Driver's License
Salary is commensurate with experience.
