Purpose of Role
We are seeking an experienced Life Cycle Project Manager to take responsibility for managing the life cycle of hospital facilities at the Princess Royal in Orpington.
Job Description
The successful candidate will oversee maintenance, renovation, and expansion projects, ensuring all facilities are managed efficiently and comply with healthcare regulations. This role involves strategic planning, project management, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure the successful operation and longevity of hospital infrastructure, enabling the delivery of high-quality healthcare services. The candidate should have proven PFI experience and strong commercial acumen.
Responsibilities
1. Life Cycle Planning
• Develop and manage long-term facility plans aligned with hospital goals, ensuring timely maintenance and upgrades.
• Conduct regular assessments to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
2. Project Delivery
• Lead renovation and expansion projects from planning through completion.
• Ensure projects meet deadlines, budgets, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with design, construction, and regulatory teams.
3. Compliance & Safety
• Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
• Manage audits, inspections, and certifications to maintain compliance.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
• Collaborate with hospital leaders and departments to meet operational needs.
• Manage contractor performance, procurement processes, and vendor relationships.
• Promote cross-functional communication for seamless facility operations.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
* Proven experience in PFI facility management within healthcare or hospital settings.
* Construction CDM training or similar industry qualifications.
* Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and regulatory compliance in healthcare PFI environments.
* Ability to manage multiple projects, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to issues.
