Role Overview
A Roadside Technician in the RAC Patrol division is responsible for delivering expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair faults, including flat batteries, tyre changes, and complex mechanical issues.
* Provide clear, reassuring communication to members during roadside incidents.
* Operate and maintain the RAC van, fuel card, diagnostic equipment and tools supplied.
* Work demand‑driven shifts averaging 40 hours per week with optional overtime.
Qualifications and Experience
* Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
* At least 2 years of post‑qualification technical, electrical and diagnostic experience.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Customer‑focused attitude, strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
