About The Role
In your role as a Unit Manager at HC-One, you’ll value one thing above all: kindness. It carries across every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them, with their own stories to tell. Joining us offers a wonderful opportunity to give back to those people.
Being a Unit Manager means taking responsibility for a specific part of the home and delivering the very best level of care. You will also run the entire home when the Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager are absent. This includes reporting mobility issues, requesting samples for monitoring, administering medication, all while keeping resident dignity and well-being at the forefront.
We are passionate about ensuring our current and future colleagues can be their true selves, and that our workforce represents the communities we serve. We prioritize inclusive working practices and invite applicants from all backgrounds into our HC-One family.
We want you to have an amazing experience working at HC-One, starting with our commitment to providing a quick turnaround from job offer to your first day with us.
About You
You will have proven leadership skills in a care home for vulnerable adults. Beyond that, it’s your positive energy and natural ability to get along with people that matter. This role requires someone ready to take real accountability. When communicating with residents or colleagues, you’ll be considerate and kind.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know what actions to take. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional training as needed. You should also be able to seek advice and escalate concerns appropriately.
