Role Overview
A global IT consultancy are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead the delivery of a major SAP ERP transformation programme for a public sector end client.
This high-profile, multi-year programme includes the implementation of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, SuccessFactors Employee Central, and Employee Central Payroll (ECP), as well as associated change and data initiatives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end programme delivery, ensuring outcomes are met across time, cost, and quality dimensions, while fostering a culture of partnership, collaboration, and trust with the client.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Leadership: Own the successful delivery of the SAP programme across all workstreams, including HR, payroll, finance, procurement, data, testing, and change.
Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for programme and senior stakeholders; build trusted relationships and ensure alignment with client goals and governance frameworks.
Integrated Team Management: Lead a blended team of internal and partner resources, ensuring seamless coordination and a "one team" delivery model.
Governance and Reporting: Establish and run the programme governance framework. Provide timely, transparent reporting, escalation management, and decision-making support.
Risk and Issue Management: Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and issues, including those linked to business change, multi-entity payroll, and SAP Cloud operations.
Commercial Oversight: Ensure commercial compliance, scope control, and cost management across all delivery partners and internal teams.
Stakeholder Engagement: Drive stakeholder alignment, particularly around adopt-not-adapt principles, release planning, and change readiness.
On-Time Go-Live Execution: Lead the planning and execution of key milestones, including parallel payroll runs, cutover, and transition to support.
Required Experience:
Extensive experience as a Programme Manager on large, complex SAP ERP programmes.
Demonstrable expertise in SAP S/4HANA implementations, particularly Public Cloud.
Strong background with SAP SuccessFactors (Employee Central, ECP).
Proven ability to manage public sector clients and navigate associated complexities.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Familiarity with hybrid working models and delivering within a consultancy environment
