We are recruiting for a Kitchen Porter to join the team at Thurlestone Hotel & Spa.
Live in accommodation is available in our fully refurbished staff accommodation just a 10 minutes' walk from the hotel.
The Village Inn is a part of the wider Thurlestone Estate, serving real ales, great gastro pub food and good cheer to everyone from new guests to old locals. The Village Inn is connected to the luxury, family-owned, 4-star 65-bedroom hotel situated on the spectacular South Devon coast. The hotel also houses the 2 AA Rosette Trevilder Restaurant, Voyage Spa, 9-hole golf course, as well as a range of sports facilities including tennis and a seasonal kids club.

About the role
As Kitchen Porter you will be responsible for keeping the kitchen areas clean, washing up and assisting the chefs when required
Key Responsibilities
* To undertake all duties as requested by Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen and its equipment.
* Operation of dishwasher / glasswasher machines; hand washing of cooking equipment.
* Empty kitchen bins and refill with new bags.
* To ensure external bin areas are kept neat, clean and tidy.
* To keep chemical pumps topped up. Ie, washing up liquid, degreaser.
* Ensuring that at the end of each shift everything is cleaned and the floor is swept and mopped.
* Assisting as required in basic food preparation under the supervision of senior chefs.
