Description Job title: Finance Placement (12 Month FTC) Department: Finance Location: Brunel Way, Fareham, Hampshire GLS: Ungraded/Placement Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 – 4:30 (37.5 hours a week) Job summary – What to expect: In this role you will provide support to the Shared Service Centre for CooperSurgical and CooperVision, primarily supporting CooperSurgical, and you will get involved in projects and communicate with people from all areas of the business to help improve processes. You will have the opportunity to experience and be involved with different finance teams to give you a full understanding of different areas within finance. Rotations may include Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Internal Controls. On your Finance Placement in our EMEA Shared Services team, you will: Support the Finance team across a range of tasks, including month end reporting. Support the Accounts Receivable team with various tasks. Assist with SOX Compliance, including responding to Internal and External Audit requests and performing tasks to support compliance with the global Internal Control framework and policies. Work flexibly to provide support across the Finance team where required. A full job description is available upon request. About you: We are looking for someone with: Confident communication skills. High level of computer literacy Experience of using Microsoft packages including Excel. Good data handling skills. Project management experience. Strong attention to detail. Ability to be a confident team player with strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to juggle multiple tasks with multiple deadlines Proactive approach Experience & Education: No experience necessary- just a keen interest in Finance, and to be studying for a Finance / Economics / Accounting or a Business-related degree, with plans to pursue a career in a related field.
