Ministry Assistant – Hope Church Winchester
Are you passionate about deepening faith, equipping the Church, and supporting visionary leadership? Hope Church Winchester is seeking a Ministry Assistant to work closely with our Senior Pastor, serving both our local church community and the wider Commission family of churches.
This is a dynamic and varied full-time role for someone with a strong theological background, a heart for discipleship, and a flexible, servant-hearted approach. You’ll play a vital role in shaping and delivering teaching materials, supporting ministries across all ages, and contributing to theological development both locally and across the Commission network.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop Biblically-rich teaching materials for small groups, discipleship courses, and church programmes.
* Support the Senior Pastorwith research, feedback, and preparation of teaching content.
* Design and enhance resources for children’s and youth ministries in collaboration with ministry leaders.
* Lead theological research and write high-quality articles, study guides, and devotional content.
* Develop and oversee courses that foster spiritual growth and theological depth.
* Shape teaching programmes, including Sunday evenings and special events.
* Contribute to Commission’s training programmes and provide theological input across initiatives.
About You:
* A committed Christian with a genuine passion for ministry and theological depth.
* A strong academic background – degree in Theology or Biblical Studies required, Master’s preferred.
* Proven experience in teaching, content creation, or discipleship leadership.
* Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* A proactive, collaborative mindset and a desire to serve the wider mission of the church.
Additional Details:
* Location: Middle Brook Centre, Winchester, SO22 8DQ
* Contract: Full-time, permanent (3-month notice period)
* Annual Leave: 25 days (including 5 days at Christmas) + Bank Holidays
* Pension: Employer match up to 6%
* Salary: Negotiable based on experience and qualifications
* Reporting to: Senior Pastor and Director of Operations
This role carries a Genuine Occupational Requirement for the post holder to be a Christian in accordance with the Equality Act 2010. Applicants will either be or become a member of Hope Church.
