The Role:
As a Development Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing retail-led projects from inception to completion. Your responsibilities will include guiding projects through feasibility, planning, procurement, and construction phases. You’ll be instrumental in creating value throughout the development cycle, addressing property challenges with expertise and commitment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead development projects, including site purchase and assembly, feasibility studies, and business case development.
• Define project objectives, manage budgets, and oversee timelines.
• Coordinate with design professionals and manage procurement processes.
• Conduct rigorous development appraisals using Excel modelling.
• Ensure quality control and identify opportunities for enhancement.
• Provide regular budget and program updates to senior management.
About You:
• Previous experience in development management, preferably in large retail-led projects.
• Knowledge of leisure, F&B, or other service uses within retail schemes is advantageous.
• Passion for retail, F&B, and leisure trends with a keen eye for innovation.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of financial metrics.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Experience in stakeholder management and third-party coordination.
• Understanding of real estate law and landlord-tenant dynamics.
• Outcome-oriented with a hands-on, innovative approach.
• Highly commercial mindset with strong analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
