Overview
Reporting into the Area Manager, the Pharmacy Practice Manager role is a hybrid of patient care and commercial focus that requires a strong leader with a passion for healthcare, patients and driving a profitable business.
Responsibilities
* Deliver all Pharmacy‑related targets and deadlines.
* Manage the store pharmacist and pharmacy colleagues.
* Lead, coach and develop the pharmacy team to deliver excellent patient experience and safety.
* Support development of all direct reports and locums to maintain high standards of professional customer service and compliance within GPhC operating standards and clinical governance.
* Provide expert clinical or service support, liaising with in‑store, regional and home office teams.
* Balance line manager duties with pharmacist responsibilities, ensuring safe working conditions.
* Inspire and motivate the team to achieve Key Result Areas (KRAs).
* Confront and solve difficult situations, maintaining solid connections in store and with field teams.
* Adhere to rota and shift patterns, ensuring coverage across designated days.
Qualifications
* Fully qualified pharmacist registered with the GPhC.
* Accredited to deliver national and local services for NHS and private healthcare.
* Experience balancing line manager and pharmacist roles.
* Ability to deliver results by inspiring and motivating the team.
* Experience comfortably challenging, confronting and solving difficult situations.
* Valid GPhC registration, evidence of right to work in the UK, and relevant safeguarding qualifications.
* Background check: DBS and live update service enrolment required.
