We want to recruit an ambitious and driven individual who wants to excel in their role and help us grow. The role is part of the sales team for Education Week Jobs, a jobs board for the education sector, which requires a new sales executive who can work across various sectors.
Education Week Jobs is part of EducationScape, the organisation behind leading digital newspapers Schools Week and FE Week. We provide education organisations with a platform from which to advertise their latest vacancies.
Education Week Jobs works with a broad range of organisations serving the education sector. From small rural schools to large Further Education Colleges.
Our new member of the team will, in partnership with the Classified Manager, be responsible for maintaining relationships, building new relationships and helping shape our product offering.

The role
* Identify new account opportunities and strategically expand the client base
* Oversee recruitment advertising sales for the news publications Schools Week and FE Week, ensuring consistent revenue generation
* Manage and nurture a diverse portfolio of existing accounts to strengthen client relationships.
* Design and negotiate profitable commercial deals by leveraging bespoke proposals
* Manage a sales pipeline, tracking progress from lead generation to deal closure
* Drive new business development by creating and executing effective sales strategies
* Help to ensure the weekly targets are met for classifieds advertising in both newspapers and that artwork is placed in a timely manner
* Represent the organisation at industry events and professional gatherings to enhance brand visibility
* Consistently meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as well as other success metrics.
* Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by senior management.
Person Specification
Experience:
Minimum of 12 months in B2B sales, demonstrating a track record of achieving sales targets.
Experience in education/media sales is highly desirable, though not mandatory.
Customer Service:
Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service, maintaining and enhancing client satisfaction.
Communication Skills:
Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, with proficiency in presenting and negotiating.
Capable of effective face-to-face interactions, as well as remote communication.
Sales Techniques:
Comfortable and skilled in cold calling, with the ability to engage and convert potential clients.
Personality Traits:
Positive and energetic personality with a confident and outgoing demeanour.
Resilience and adaptability, able to handle rejection and maintain enthusiasm.
Team Collaboration:
A strong team player who is committed to the collective success of the team and willing to contribute beyond typical responsibilities when needed.
Work Environment Adaptability:
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, effectively managing multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines.
