Responsibilities
* As a mechanic, safely prepare customers' cars for the road ahead; work on an incredible range of manufacturers and models, developing your skills and staying up to date with the latest in vehicle technology.
* Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
* Inspect engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately using diagnostic equipment.
* Repair or replace defective parts and carry out DVSA vehicle testing (if authorised).
* Road test vehicles to check repairs; maintain equipment and ensure tools are in good condition; follow checklists to complete procedures; complete all documentation to required standards.
Essential Skills
* A certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 and solid work experience in the automotive industry
* Ability to work independently or as part of a busy team; strong communication and attention to detail
* Ability to follow written and spoken instructions; proactive and enthusiastic approach
* Full driving licence
Day-to-day duties
* Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards
* Inspecting vehicle components to diagnose issues; use diagnostic equipment
* Repairing or replacing parts; DVSA testing (if authorised); road testing
* Maintaining equipment and tools; following checklists; completing documentation
Qualifications
* Experience in automotive industry with a certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3
* Strong communication, detail orientation, and ability to work to deadlines
* Full driving licence

* £40,000 - £50,000 DOE plus benefits
* Additional opportunity to earn up to £9,000 every three years in performance bonuses (terms and conditions apply)
