We're looking for a dual-skilled field service engineer-someone who brings solid Mechanical expertise and a second core skill such as Electrical or Instrumentation. This is a hands‑on role in our Southport production team, where you'll be working in a fast‑paced, modern environment maintaining and improving critical water assets. You'll need to be confident across both disciplines, ready to tackle a wide range of maintenance tasks and contribute to continuous improvement across the site. Here's how we reward your skillset: If you're bringing one core skill to us (Mechanical) you'll start on a salary of £38,462, but if you've got two disciplines, you'll earn £44,320. One core skill—don't go anywhere… we will support with the training. Our dedicated team of training professionals will provide you a tailored development plan to help you build your skillset and get you seen.


Accountabilities & Responsibilities

* Implement an efficient Mechanical maintenance service.
* Analyse faults, rectify and ensure correct mechanical and systems‑based equipment.
* Perform planning and proactive maintenance activities.
* Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations and internal company policies.
* Maintain required financial control of a pre‑defined budgets.
* Provide reliable, accurate and complete asset performance and repair information for entry into corporate systems.
* Analyse and recommend solutions to recurring maintenance problems.
A full UK driving license is essential, as you'll be travelling between local sites using a fully equipped company vehicle—complete with the tools and technology you need to get the job done efficiently.
* Time‑served apprentice or an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a Mechanical discipline.
* Industry experience in a relevant maintenance, instrumentation or engineering environment.
* Strong diagnostic, organisational and planning skills.
* You'll be working hands‑on with mechanical assets including pumps, gearboxes, valves, and rotating machinery—keeping our wastewater treatment operations running efficiently.
* Ability and willingness to diversify into specialist areas of maintenance as needed.
