The Role
We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a leading manufacturing company based at their Wigan site. You will be tasked with all maintenance, repairs and servicing of plant machinery. In a small team, you will be working on reactive maintenance primarily in the electrical department while also carrying out planned tasks.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Maintaining plant, equipment, and utilities throughout the site.
* Utilising initiative to rectify problems.
* Routine PPM work.
* Reactive and planned tasks.
* Utilising CMMS (SAP).
* Observing Health & Safety of themselves & colleagues is a must.
* Continuous improvement work.
* Responding to production breakdown issues and providing technical support.
* Maintain plant processes such as keeping up to date with technical advancements.
* Be the AP (Authorised Person) for emergencies, including High Voltage for electrical technicians.
The Successful Engineer
* Ability to read electrical drawings & schematics.
* NVQ Level 3 qualified/apprentice trained.
* Experience with PLCs such as Allen Bradley, Siemens.
* Electrical experience within a manufacturing environment.
* High voltage qualifications are desirable.
