Senior Childcare Practitioner role at Ziron Environmental Services, Inc.
Location: Baldridgeburn Out of School Club, Baldridgeburn Community Centre, Dunfermline. Contract: Permanent. Salary: FC5 £28,175.91 - £30,691.29 (Pro-Rata). Working pattern: 22.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (07:45 to 09:00 and 14:45 to 18:00 during term-time; various shifts 07:30 to 18:00 during school holidays).

Responsibilities
* Oversee the day-to-day running of the club.
* Plan and supervise activities with children and young people.
* Supervise a small team of Childcare Practitioners.
* Organise play areas, and provide resources and equipment.
* Create a safe, inviting space for children to enjoy leisure time.
* Encourage independence, build self-esteem, and support new skills and experiences.
* Provide healthy and nutritious snacks with dietary considerations as needed.
* Support children on a one-to-one basis when required.
* Deal with injuries and emergencies.
* Build professional relationships with parents/carers and other professionals.
* Be flexible and forward-thinking in approach.
* Support the Childcare Manager with delivery of an effective out-of-school service.
The Person
* Experience of working with children and young people within a play, care or learning setting.
* Supervisory experience, preferably within a childcare service.
* Formal qualification such as SVQ 3 Social Services (Children and Young People).
* Fun, engaging, adaptable, and passionate about working with children and young people.

Requirements
* PVG scheme membership via Disclosure Scotland prior to appointment.
* SSSC registration: three months to apply; start registration as soon as appointed to be completed within six months.
