A leading UK media and digital content business is hiring a Senior Data Privacy Counsel based in London.
This is a senior, high‑impact role advising on complex data protection issues in a fast‑paced, digital‑first environment, including adtech, audience data, analytics and emerging AI use cases.
Responsibilities
* Advise senior stakeholders on UK/EU data protection and wider digital regulation
* Embed privacy‑by‑design into new products and initiatives
* Support regulatory engagement and complex complaints/investigations
* Oversee privacy governance, policies and data rights processes
* Partner closely with editorial, tech, HR and commercial teams
Required experience
* England & Wales qualified solicitor (c.10+ PQE)
* Deep data protection expertise within media, publishing or digital platforms
* Experience with adtech, analytics and AI‑related privacy issues
* Confident, pragmatic adviser comfortable operating at senior and technical level
