What you’ll get
* Competitive base pay – £48,720 per year, with the opportunity to earn up to £54,000
* Weekly variety – On average 40 hours per week across the year; roster provided seven days in advance with core hours confirmed three days prior
* Shifts available outside 9-5 – Shifts between 06:00 and 02:00; may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays

What you’ll do
You’re more than a mechanic. You’re a problem solver, a people person, and a proud ambassador for the RAC. Whether you’re on a busy roadside or a quiet cul-de-sac, you’re calm under pressure, quick to connect, and confident in your craft. You’ll manage your own kit, keep your van stocked, and handle your reports with precision. You’ll make the call to fix the right issue and keep our members moving, delivering the RAC difference.

You know how to read a situation. Our Roadside Mechanics are trusted to make the call; supporting each member and keeping everyone moving.
What you’ll need
* A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with demonstrable technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience
* A customer-focused approach
* A full UK driving licence
* Flexibility to work at relatively short notice and open to travel with potential overnight stays
