We are currently working with a Local Authority in Devon who are looking for a Deputy Director of Transformation & Business Services to join their Digital and ICT team.

Rate: £93,000+, candidates to confirm rate upon submission
Responsibilities
* Lead and transform our digital, technology and information services across a complex and ambitious organisation ensuring they are aligned to organisational priorities, resilient to risk, and capable of supporting modern, agile service delivery
* This is a pivotal leadership role, combining operational oversight with strategic innovation, and offers a rare opportunity to shape how technology enables services, supports our workforce, and improves outcomes for residents across the Authority
* Be fully aware of every aspect of the Director’s priorities in order to drive through service improvement and business transformational change
* Oversight of Transformation and Business Services functions, with specific responsibility for the strategic management of ICT Operations, Cyber Security delivery and Scomis Business Unit
* Oversee an annual budget of approximately £5m, with influence over wider directorate and organisational investment decisions
* Influence corporate strategy and contribute to the Council’s approach
* Ensure robust, secure and sustainable digital foundations that enable transformation at pace
Experience
* Substantial and successful experience of managing large digital and ICT operations, projects, programmes and budgets bringing a wealth of technological experience
* Evidence of leading and directing complex services across digital and ICT services
* Strong Strategic leadership capability and experience across large, diverse and complex organisations, in a challenging and changing business environment
* Substantial management experience of strategy and policy development, and management of operational services at a senior level
* Ability to work across a complex, multidisciplinary, and sometimes ambiguous landscape
