Job Description
Head of HR
Some HR roles are about maintaining. This one is about building.
The business has been through significant change, and the journey isn't over. It's lean, fast-moving and commercially sharp, but the foundations beneath the growth need strengthening: clearer leadership standards, better consistency, a culture that actually functions at pace. You'll work directly with the Managing Director to make that happen.
This is a role for someone who can hold strategy and operational reality at the same time, translating direction into something people can genuinely understand, own and act on.
The leadership team is relatively new, still finding its stride. There's real ambition and energy, but not yet a consistent benchmark for what strong people leadership looks like. You'll help set that benchmark; raising standards, building capability and creating the kind of accountability that sticks.
You'll also need to navigate a wider global matrix, balancing central direction with clear local ownership. That tension won't always be comfortable. But you'll know how to hold both.
You'll be delivering practical, high-impact work in a complex environment, where simplifying, prioritising and cutting through noise will matter.
This role suits:
* An experienced Head of HR or senior HRBP who is accustomed to stepping up, who thrives in evolving, build-phase businesses rather than steady-state ones.
What you'll bring:
* Experience leading HR through genuine change, restructures, growth, cultural shift, or previously siloed environments.
* The credibility and confidence to partner meaningfully at MD level.
* A track record of creating alignment across functions, teams and sites.
* Experience operating in a global matrix, balancing central direction with local ownership
* The ability to influence without authority, across geographies and seniority levels
* A commercially minded, pragmatic approach; turning ambiguity into clear action
* Real capability development experience; building leadership teams, not just supporting them
* Emotional maturity, resilience and the kind of calm that others orient around
* Communication that's direct, clear and trusted
It's an excellent opportunity to make the role your own; and as the business grows, the role will grow in scope, influence and impact.
This role is offered on a permanent basis, 3 days on-site.
