SEND Teaching Assistant (TA)
Are you a highly passionate and experienced SEND TA?
Do you have extensive SEND experience, working with young people with complex needs?
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join an excellent specialist schools in Manchester. This is a TA position, offering support across the whole school on a 1:1 and small group intervention basis. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils with a range of complex additional needs, providing tailored support to help them thrive in their learning environment.
SEND Teaching Assistant - Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver focused 1:1 and small group interventions for pupils with SEND
* Provide flexible support across different classrooms and year groups as required
* Assist with personal care needs in a sensitive and respectful manner if needed
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to implement individualized learning plans
* Monitor and record pupil progress, contributing to regular reviews and meetings
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages pupil independence and confidence
SEND Teaching Assistant - About you:
* A flexible and adaptable team player, willing to work across the whole school
* Experience supporting children with a variety of additional needs is required
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* A proactive and patient approach to supporting learning and behaviour
* Previous experience in a similar SEND TA or support role is desirable
