Job Description
We’re looking for a hands on, delivery focused IT leader to take ownership of IT service delivery, manage supplier relationships, drive business aligned, technology enabled change, and support the cultural change around IT.
Our client is a growing, PE-backed organisation operating in a fast-paced, operationally focused environment, contributing over 20% of group turnover.
No direct reports currently, so autonomy, pace, and resilience are essential.
The focus is firmly on real world impact, not theory, perfect for someone who thrives on making things happen, building credibility and trust in IT solutions, and forging strong partnerships across the business.
What will you be doing:
* Lead and oversee IT service delivery, infrastructure, and support
* Manage third-party MSPs and tech vendors
* Drive and support business-critical change initiatives
* Ensure IT operations evolve in line with business needs
* Build strong cross-functional relationships to ensure tech enables delivery
* Build confidence in technology as an enabler of success across teams

* A proven track record operating at senior level (Head of IT)
* Robust, resilient, and self-starting – thrives in fast-moving environments
* Strong communicator with a positive, practical, can-do approach
* Confident managing resistance to change and engaging stakeholders
* Delivery focused, with an eye on benefits realisation and frontline enablement
* Experience in engineering, operational, or industrial settings
Timeline: July start for 6 months
Location: South Yorkshire. 4 days each week onsite / potential for 1 day each week home working
