We are seeking a
Sales, Credit Control & Direct Debit Collections Officer
to join our finance team. This role is crucial in maintaining strong relationships with customers and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes. You will be responsible for managing bookings transactions, overseeing credit control, ensuring the timely collection of outstanding debts, and processing direct debit collections. Rota:
Monday - Friday. Hours of work are flexible and can be agreed upon during discussion. Responsibilities:
Bookings Transactions:
Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and promptly. Sales Invoices:
Generate and issue sales invoices accurately, record them in the financial systems, allocate income correctly, and handle customer queries. Credit Control:
Communicate with customers regarding outstanding invoices, monitor and control debt recovery, and maintain accurate records. Direct Debits Collections Processing:
Schedule payments, process direct debits, handle failed payments, and communicate with customers about direct debit issues. Financial Reporting:
Assist in preparing sales and credit control reports. Compliance and Controls:
Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal policies. General Responsibilities:
Assist with final accounts tasks, contribute to system improvements, and undertake other duties as required. Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
At least 4 GCSEs grades A-C/4-9 including Maths and English AAT Level 2 qualification (desirable) One year's experience in sales ledger Confidence in using financial systems and Excel Experience with Direct Debit collection procedures and BACS regulations Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and collaboratively Benefits:
