We are recruiting 1 qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) or Child Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) to join our Richmond Mental Health Support Team.

* Salary: from £35,577 (SCP23) to £37,443 (SCP26)

About the role
The post involves working within a service providing a whole school approach to mental health and wellbeing, focusing on preventative work and early interventions for children and young people with mild to moderate anxiety, depression, or behavioral difficulties. The role requires working with diverse backgrounds, utilizing interpreters when necessary, and being committed to equal opportunities. The team offers clinical supervision, peer support, line management, and CPD opportunities.
About you
Ideal candidates will have:
* Completed the HEE commissioned 1-year EMHP or CWP course
* Experience working with children with social, emotional, or behavioral difficulties
* Experience delivering therapeutic interventions like guided self-help or time-limited therapy
* Skills in using assessment tools and frameworks
* Ability to conduct mental health assessments and therapeutic interventions
* Experience conducting group parenting programs
* Ability to work within educational settings to promote mental health awareness
* Risk assessment skills and appropriate communication
* Good IT skills including database or spreadsheet use
