About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Manager to join a booming consultancy in Milton Keynes. This role offers the chance to lead and manage a diverse portfolio of projects, ensuring successful delivery in line with client expectations. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with a strong background in project management, contract administration, and stakeholder engagement .
As a Senior Project Manager, you will take ownership of end-to-end project delivery, overseeing budgets, schedules, risks, and resources while ensuring compliance with industry best practices and relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Leading the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects across multiple sectors.
Managing project lifecycles from feasibility through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Developing and implementing project strategies, programmes, and financial controls .
Providing contract administration and commercial oversight, working with JCT, NEC3/4, and FIDIC contracts .
Managing stakeholder relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and external partners.
Identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks, ensuring effective problem resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
Preparing and delivering progress reports, financial updates, and risk assessments to senior management and clients.
Leading and mentoring junior project managers and assistant project managers, ensuring team development and high-performance standards.
Ensuring compliance with CDM regulations, health and safety standards, and sustainability objectives .
Supporting business development by contributing to bids, proposals, and client presentations .
Requirements
Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field .
5+ years of experience in project management within a consultancy or client-side environment.
Extensive experience in contract administration (NEC3/4, JCT, or FIDIC) .
Strong leadership, team management, and stakeholder engagement skills .
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring successful delivery within budget and timelines.
Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and risk management capabilities.
Strong knowledge of project controls, cost management, and procurement processes .
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Project, Asta Powerproject, or other project management software .
Chartered status or working towards APM, CIOB, or RICS membership is desirable.
Full UK driving licence is required.
