You’ll take part in an intensive 6‑month training programme, including a City & Guilds Electrical Engineering course, giving you a strong foundation to grow your career in the power industry. Once trained, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering high‑quality jointing work across our network—ensuring safe, reliable connections and helping keep homes, businesses, and communities powered every day. What you’ll be doing As a Craft Attendant ( Join ter), you will learn to: Carry out cablehead changes, replace cablehead and substation fuses, locate faults, deploy and connect generators, complete jointing work, issue and receive safety documents, and occasionally support other trade teams. Plan jobs, prepare materials and equipment, and complete safety documentation. Take part in standby duties once fully trained. What you’ll bring We’re looking for enthusiastic people who enjoy practical work and solving problems. To be successful, you’ll need: At least 2 years’ experience in any industry ( doesn’t have to be electrical – we’ll train you). A technical or electrical qualification is an advantage but not essential. A full valid driving licence. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
