I'm currently working with a regular client of Randstad's who are seeking an embedded software engineer to become a key member, and leader, within the automotive side of their engineering team.
In this role, you will be required to contribute to the development of embedded software for a new project within the automotive sector. Additionally, you will be required to contribute to various codebases, tools, and processes within the wider embedded team.
Ideally looking for 2-4 years experience although recent graduates will be considered. This role will be based in their Central Bristol office so you should be in a commutable distance to the office or be planning to relocate before the start date.
Essential skill-set required;
1. Embedded programming experience
2. Proven ability to develop and debug embedded software
3. Familiar with software version control systems
4. An understanding of embedded systems using microcontrollers and their peripherals
5. An understanding of electronics and other subject areas relevant to embedded system
6. Experience using C++ in an embedded environment
Key responsibilities:
7. Design, implement and test embedded software for a new product in the automotive sector.
8. Implement and support test scripts and process automations.
9. Work with the product verification team during hardware bring up and initial testing.
