Job Title: Contract Manager
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Contract Manager to join the Milton Keynes team.
Role Summary:
* Manage contracts related to staff, operation, and maintenance of electrical and mechanical plants/services, project works, and building performance.
* Oversee daily operations of the Engineering team, ensuring compliance with CBRE processes and procedures.
* Direct, instruct, and manage all CBRE staff and SSPs under their control, ensuring adherence to working practices.
* Complete weekly operations reports and attend meetings with clients and internal teams as required.
* Report any issues affecting building and facilities operations to CBRE and senior management promptly.
* Review operating procedures regularly and recommend improvements, including emergency and contingency plans for critical systems.
* Communicate with clients and the CBRE Area Manager regarding contract issues, defects, and deficiencies.
* Ensure staff are knowledgeable about the operation of critical and non-critical systems within the portfolio.
* Maintain quality standards across all facilities.
* Implement and communicate business policies and processes effectively within the contract.
* Optimize staffing structures to balance cost and service quality.
* Collaborate with other Operations Managers for business development and team support.
* Develop financial plans for revenue, profit, and cost management, aiming for contract growth and efficiency.
* Maintain control systems to meet statutory, policy, and contractual obligations.
* Foster a customer-focused approach in all operational activities and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
* Provide leadership, coaching, and support to team members for best practice in training, assessment, and recognition.
* Communicate effectively through management meetings, reports, and other channels.
* Promote a learning environment with appropriate training and development plans for staff to reach their full potential.
* Attend training sessions on plant and systems installation, which may require overnight stays.
Experience Required:
* Experience in Facilities Management industry.
* Exposure to manufacturing environments is advantageous.
* Experience in delivering Hard Services FM.
* Managing subcontractors on-site.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team of technicians and operatives.
* Understanding of Health and Safety issues; NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent training is desirable.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
* Good command of English and Mathematics.
* Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
* Ability to work under pressure, remain calm, and deliver services within deadlines.
