SCM Consultant – MS Dynamics 365 F&O (Waste Management)

Overview:
We are seeking a Supply Chain Management (SCM) Consultant with strong experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) to support a key transformation project in the waste management sector. The ideal candidate will combine logistics or warehouse operations expertise with hands-on knowledge of Dynamics 365, and possess a structured, process-driven mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the functional expert for MS Dynamics 365 F&O within the SCM workstream.
* Analyse and map existing supply chain workflows (collection, transport, inventory, compliance) to ERP-supported processes.
* Engage with business users to gather and challenge requirements, ensuring alignment with standard D365 capabilities.
* Configure and validate standard transaction flows including PO, SO, TO, and TJ within Dynamics 365.
* Translate operational and compliance needs in the waste management domain into system functionality.
* Collaborate with technical teams to ensure successful implementation and integration of SCM processes.
* Define and manage test scenarios; support user acceptance testing and system validation.
* Provide post-go-live support, issue resolution, and continuous improvement input.
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience as an SCM or Functional Consultant in Dynamics 365 F&O.
* Strong understanding of warehouse and logistics processes; experience in waste management is highly desirable.
* Deep familiarity with inventory-related modules and transactional flows (PO/SO/TO/TJ).
* Proficient in process documentation, analysis, and mapping using ERP-compatible tools and formats.
* Ability to identify business-critical requirements and challenge assumptions constructively.
* Experienced in ERP testing, validation, and stakeholder training.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multi-stakeholder, hybrid work environment.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of regulatory compliance processes in waste or utilities sectors.
* Fluent in English; knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus.
