About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Tax and Trust fee earner to join our client's accomplished team in the Dorchester office. This role demands sophisticated understanding of tax administration, trust management, and client relations within a successful department.
Tax and Trust Lawyer Responsibilities
Prepare and submit comprehensive self-assessment tax returns for individual clients
Manage complex trust administration and ensure strict compliance with taxation reporting requirements
Develop and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication
Gather and process intricate financial information with exceptional accuracy
Manage multiple client priorities efficiently and effectively
Contribute to the firm's business development and growth strategies
Utilise advanced case management systems and tax preparation software
Provide expert guidance on tax laws, income tax, capital gains tax, and applicable tax reliefs
Tax and Trust Fee Earner Requirements
Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with minimum 4 years' post-qualification experience
Comprehensive working knowledge of Tax and Trusts administration
Proven expertise in preparing precise tax returns and trust documents
Advanced understanding of tax legislation and trust structures
Proficiency in personal tax return software (CCH preferred)
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively
High level of professional integrity and initiative
Excellent time management and organisational capabilities
Proven ability to meet and exceed fee earning targets
