Overall Purpose of the role The Technical Administrator assists the Technical Advisors and Manager to deliver the work programme of a well known subsea industry organisations Diving Division Committee.
Key Responsibilities
Assist Diving Technical Advisors (DTA's) with log book reviews for Diving Supervisors and Life Support Technician exams
Assist DTA's with running the Diving Supervisor and LST examination and certification systems.
Assist DTA's with audit reviews as part of Accredited Dive System Inspectors revalidation / CPD.
Assist in the production and delivery of Continual Personal Development (CPD) modules for diving supervisors CPD scheme
Assist DTA's in the preparation of new diving division technical guidance documents and Information Notes.
Assist DTA's to revise existing diving division technical guidance documents, with a focus upon currency of technical information.
Provide current technical advice to assigned diving division committees, workgroups and to the wider organisations membership.
Assist in the preparation of technical programmes for diving seminars, workshops and other events,
Assist in the preparation of diving presentations for a variety of audiences.
Consult and engage with other members of the organisations technical, communications and support teams.
Travel nationally and internationally, as required, to assist DTA's at appropriate meetings and events.
Person Specification
Experience and Qualifications
A formal (or by experience) professional engineering, marine or diving industry qualification.
Experience and knowledge of offshore operations and offshore diving.
A degree level education and qualification as an auditor is desirable.
An understanding and experience of competency based systems.
