Compliance Manager
London Office based
Construction Tier 1 Main Contractor

Bigblue is working with a Tier 1 main contractor to find an experienced Compliance Manager to lead and strengthen compliance across the business.
The Role
You will be responsible for ensuring the company meets all relevant UK legal, regulatory and industry standards across transport, site operations, health and safety, and environmental compliance. You will work closely with operational teams to embed best practice and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures
• Ensure adherence to UK transport, health and safety, and environmental regulations
• Oversee operator licensing, driver hours, and vehicle compliance
• Carry out audits and risk assessments across logistics and site activity
• Act as the main contact for regulators and external auditors
• Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation
• Monitor legislative changes and implement updates
• Support incident investigations and corrective actions
• Deliver training and toolbox talks to staff and subcontractors
What We’re Looking For
• Experience in a compliance role within construction, logistics or transport
• Strong knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks
• Experience dealing with audits and regulatory bodies
• Excellent attention to detail and organisation
• Confident communicator who can influence operational teams
Desirable
• CPC in Transport Management
• NEBOSH or IOSH qualification
• Experience with ISO standards and systems
