The Planning and Controls Lead will collaborate with stakeholders to define all aspects of programmes. The planner will clarify milestones, organize activities, and ensure project outcomes are achieved with available resources. Responsibilities include developing, updating, and monitoring project plans, identifying tasks and interdependencies, and tracking progress throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Providing leadership to the planning team, establishing standards, and promoting best practices in project planning, while building strong networks internally and externally.
2. Applying advanced project planning knowledge to analyze risks, resolve issues, and identify opportunities.
3. Analyzing performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and selecting appropriate methods and tools for resolution.
4. Creating, maintaining, and owning PP&C processes, procedures, and standards.
5. Assessing future capacity and capability needs and developing strategies to meet them.
6. Building and maintaining external networks for access to best practices.
7. Offering expert advice and support to ensure project success, guiding project managers on planning approaches, tools, and templates, and enhancing planning capabilities.
8. Managing user access for Project Web App and overseeing new software for NEC4 compliance, such as My Projects.
9. Providing input for CC&P, attending and presenting at meetings and project boards.
