Make a lasting impact for a positive future!
Are you ready to transform young lives while building a career you can be proud of? Esland's Preston home is looking for a Children’s Residential Care Worker to join our passionate, dedicated team. Every day here is full of purpose, growth, and the chance to make a difference to a young person's life.
Pear Tree Cottage is a solo service which provides a calm and engaged environment for a young person that would benefit from a smaller home setting.
Using PACE principles and a child-led, therapeutic approach, we help children aged 8 to 18 to overcome adverse and traumatic experiences.
Experience within care, education, mental health support and/or youth activities is highly desirable, but we equally value transferrable skills and the right personality traits for the role.
What we definitely need:

3. Values in line with Esland's, such as taking a therapeutic, person-centred approach to childcare
4. A calm, compassionate and resilient approach
5. The ability to recognise the tough days matter just as much as the good days
6. Due to industry regulations, applicants must be aged 21 or above (essential)
Successful employment is subject to satisfactory Full Enhanced Disclosure, right to work and reference checks in line with government regulations and Safer Recruitment Practices (the company will cover the costs).
All young people are equally entitled to have their needs met in a fair and balanced way. Esland employees are responsible for promoting equal opportunities for all and for challenging any behaviour or practice which discriminates against any young person or colleague on the grounds of race, religion, disability, age, gender, sexual orientation, or any other perceived difference.
