We are seeking to recruit an Administrative Assistant to work as part of our busy multi-disciplinary Drug and Alcohol Service to offer administrative and organisational support. The post will be based on the reception desk.
The successful candidate will have excellent I.T. and typing skills and understand the importance of confidentiality. The post holder must be able to work under pressure and be able to multi-task. The post holder will present a professional manner, be tactful and diplomatic, exercising excellent communication skills to uphold the positive image of the service and Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will have excellent administration and organisational skills.
The post holder will have strong numeracy and calculating skills in order to create and produce prescriptions.
There is the possibility of some occasional evening work on a Thursday evening until 8 pm.
Main duties of the job
To provide cover for Reception, including answering the phone and greeting service users and visitors to the service.
To offer administrative and organisational support to the multi-disciplinary Drug and Alcohol Service.
The compilation, inputting and retrieval of data using information technology and paper systems.
To produce, record and file computer generated prescriptions.To monitor and order stock.

* Information technology qualification
* GCSE Maths or equivalent.
* GCSE English or equivalent.
Experience

* Proven admin experience in a busy office environment
* Using information technology systems
* Proven experience of working on a busy reception.

* Work within health or social care setting
* Administration of petty cash
Knowledge
Essential criteria
* Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office packages, particularly MS Word and Excel
Desirable criteria
* An awareness of issues relating to substance misuse
