Department Business Outsourcing Employment Type Permanent Location Bath Workplace type Hybrid Reporting To Key Responsibilities As a Senior Bookkeeper, you’ll deliver high-quality bookkeeping, VAT, and management accounting services for a diverse portfolio of clients. You’ll be client-facing, and confident supporting others in the team. Manage your own portfolio of bookkeeping and VAT clients, aligned to your level. Prepare monthly or quarterly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and depreciation. Input and reconcile data, process payments, and ensure clear, organised working papers. Liaise directly with clients to meet deadlines and manage expectations. Visit client sites as needed to support service delivery and client relationships. Act as a mentor or buddy to junior colleagues, supporting with feedback and development. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise You’ll be an experienced and proactive bookkeeper with strong communication skills and a commercial mindset. You enjoy supporting others and delivering a great client experience. AAT Level 3 qualified or qualified by experience (Level 4 desirable). 2 years’ experience in bookkeeping and VAT (ideally within practice). Confident preparing management accounts with clear supporting schedules. Skilled in Xero, QuickBooks Online, Excel, and other accounting systems. Strong time management and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and flexibly across sites. Experience in property finance or sector-specific bookkeeping (desirable but not essential).
